Holiday packages, gift hampers and jewellery all were up for grabs at the Beanies for Brain Cancer fundraising event, which was held in Victoria Point, Queensland.  The event, supported by TravelManagers, was organised by personal travel manager (PTM) Erin Ross and her children, Maia and Ryley, with the support of other PTMs around Australia who either assisted with the event or donated to the fund.

Coinciding with its 30th birthday celebrations, Fairmont Resort & Spa Blue Mountains, New South Wales Australia has officially opened its Ubika Day Spa, making it one of the largest, purpose-built day spa facilities in Australia.  
 
Officially opened by hotel owner doctor Jerry Schwartz, the two-storey spa and wellness retreat boasts 16 treatment rooms with their own showers and four couples’ rooms including one deluxe couples room with private spa bath.

Cape Otway to light up for International Lighthouse Weekend

Australia’s Cape Otway Lightstation in Victoria is preparing to dust off its original Fresnel lens so it can be lit for the first time in 20 years in celebration of its 170th birthday on 18 August.
Starting at 1800hrs sharp, the event is planned to coincide with International Lighthouse Weekend and will allow a limited number of ticket holders access to climb the tower to experience this once-in-a-lifetime viewing opportunity.

Work starts on new Virgin Australia Melbourne terminal

Construction has begun on Virgin Australia’s new domestic terminal at Melbourne Airport’s Terminal 3 (T3), where new software will allow passengers to check themselves in and print boarding passes and baggage tags. New service pods and service desks also will be installed.
