Jan-Philipp Schäfer (pictured) has taken over as head of the Cologne Convention Bureau (CCB). In this role he will promote the national and international positioning of the Cologne meeting market and also network with business and science in Cologne.
Schäfer succeeds Christian Woronka, who took over the management of the Vienna Convention Bureau at the beginning of the year.
Before moving to Cologne, Schäfer was employed as manager International Market Relations, Southern Europe at the German National Tourism Board (DZT).
Schäfer had previously gained several years of experience in the MICE and tourism sector at Engadin St Moritz Tourismus, where his special areas of responsibility were foreign marketing and regional conference management.
