UK drone no-fly zone to be expanded

Following a spate of sightings that have caused airport shutdowns, the UK's no-fly zone for drones is being extended to five kilometres from March 13.
Officials also intend to widen police powers of stop and search for people suspected of using drones maliciously.
UK aviation authorities say 125 near-misses between drones and aircraft were reported in 2018.
More than 100,000 UK travellers were stranded or delayed before Christmas after drone sightings near London Gatwick and 125 near-misses between drones and aircraft UK-wide were reported in 2018.
